Barista(s) + Front of house

CARMEN is hiring warm, energetic baristas and waiters who delight in welcoming guests and creating memorable experiences. You’ll greet and seat patrons, manage waitlists and reservations, and craft barista-quality espresso and specialty drinks. The ideal candidate has hospitality experience or a natural talent for hosting, excellent communication skills, and a good sense of humor.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism

- Take orders, prepare espresso-based and specialty coffee drinks to barista-quality standards

- Maintain a clean, organised front-of-house and beverage station

- Manage waitlists and reservations; communicate wait times clearly

- Support team during busy periods and deliver upbeat customer service

- Handle cash/point-of-sale transactions accurately

 

Qualifications

- Several years in hospitality, customer service, or demonstrated natural hosting ability

- Proficient in espresso machine use, milk texturing, and coffee beverage preparation

- Positive attitude, good sense of humor, and strong communication skills

- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings and weekends

- Food safety and barista certifications a plus
